How Hy-Series Works
Treatment is a biological process, not wastewater storage. Oxygen, activated sludge, clarification, and sludge return work together as one continuous treatment system.

Give the biology oxygen, time, and a stable environment.
Wastewater contains organic material that microorganisms can consume. Hy-Series supplies air to keep aerobic microorganisms active and mixes them with incoming wastewater. Extended aeration gives the process time to reduce the organic load and develop settleable biological solids.
In clarification, those solids settle away from the treated water. Return sludge then recirculates active biomass instead of allowing the useful biology to leave the process.

Receive and equalize
Wastewater enters the treatment route and is introduced into the biological environment.
Supply oxygen
Aeration keeps the microorganisms alive, supports mixing, and drives essential process functions.
Reduce pollution
Activated sludge contacts the wastewater and biologically reduces biodegradable organic material.
Clarify the water
Biological solids settle, treated water separates, and useful sludge returns to the process.
A tank with no oxygen is not automatically a complete treatment plant.
Some systems in the local market are presented as treatment plants while relying primarily on settlement and anaerobic action. Anaerobic treatment can play a useful role, but it should not be represented as equivalent to a correctly sized and operated aerobic biological plant.

Good treatment depends on more than the tank.
The plant needs suitable wastewater, continuous electrical supply, ventilation, correct hydraulic and organic loading, responsible use, commissioning time, and maintenance. Discharge or reuse quality must be assessed against project-specific requirements.
